Boating and Other Recreation

Our area boasts an amazing array of outdoor activity which includes some of the best boating and fishing on the West Coast. In addition, skiing, skating, and other outdoor recreation is in abundance. If you haven't already, try out some of these activities -- or add some of your favorites to the list!

City of Shoreline Recreation Programs
  • The Port of Edmonds
    The Port of Edmonds currently operates the largest covered moorage facility on the West Coast and provides both wet and dry storage for 1200 boats up to 55 feet. Overnight moorage, fueling facilities and a live bait shop make a quick jaunt very easy. The Port's boat repair facility is the most environmentally advanced in the Puget Sound area and allows boat owners to work on their vessels or use the services of several local vendors.

  • Snow Tubing and Sledding Areas
    Tubing at Snoqualmie / The 'Snowflake Tubing Center' is located directly across from Summit Central (formerly known as Ski Acres) at Snoqualmie Summit. The Center is only open on weekends and holidays. No need to bring your own tube, they are provided.
    • Rates vary from $10 - $13 for children, and $12 to $15 for adults depending on the times.

    Tubing at Stevens Pass / 'Tube City' is located near the base of Stevens Pass ski area. Tube tows take riders to the top of groomed lanes for a downhill slide. Tubes are provided. Sessions are 1 and a half hours, and cost $13 + tax for adults and $11 + tax for kids.

    Other Tubing and Sledding Areas / If you don't want to pay but want to bring your own sled or tube, there are more informal hills located at just about any unmotorized Sno-Park location in Washington State, including the Hyak Sno-Park located on the east side of Snoqualmie Pass.
